Sober
Living Environments (SLEs)
Research
has shown that outpatient treatment programs coupled with Sober Living
Environments (SLEs) are as effective in treating chemical dependency
as inpatient treatment.
Sobriety
Works offers four SLEs for clients or persons seeking to enhance
their sobriety by living in a recovery oriented environment. We offer
gender specific housing supervised by on-site staff. Structure is very
important in early recovery and our SLEs provide that structure. Clients
are required to attend 12-Step meetings, observe curfews, attend house
meetings, share in household responsibilities and are regularly and randomly
drug tested. In addition, our housing clients begin to establish new relationships
with others seeking similar lifestyle changes.
Our SLEs
enable client's to maintain employment and encourage employment or volunteer
service for those unemployed.

Housing:
Branciforte
is conveniently located near downtown Santa Cruz and is within walking
distance to shopping, bus stops and the metro center. It has a spacious
back yard with garden space and on street parking. The house has
seven bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large kitchen, laundry facilities,

Juan
Pablo is located in the Live Oak area of Santa Cruz. This
house is three miles from the beach, within walking distance
to the bus line, and is in a quiet neighborhood. The house
has six bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen, laundry facilities,
cable TV, telephone and exercise equipment.

Housing:
Cortez
is a short five-minute walk to the beach and/or bus stop.
You can walk to Capitola Village in 15 minutes. The house
has six bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, a large, private enclosed
back yard, cable television and telephone.

is close to the Capitola Mall for shopping, employment opportunities
and the Metro transit center. From this central Santa Cruz location
